Description

Explore how accounting and accountability have both shaped and been shaped by colonial systems in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond. This Level 8 course critically examines how Maori, Pacific, and other Indigenous knowledge systems challenge conventional accounting practices. Students will engage with theory and practice to develop skills in applying, critiquing, and reflecting on Indigenous approaches, with a focus on contributing meaningfully to their professions and communities.
