Gaining a perspective for Assignment 1 and 2There are two assignments in this course, that is designed to develop the rationale, philosophy and pedagogy of teaching Science and Technology in New Zealand primary schools. Key aspects of these assignments combine the curriculum learning areas of Science and Technology using an authentic context. We begin this journey by looking to gain a perspective on the questions of why, what and how of the teaching in each of these two learning areas of the NZC. Assessment 1 will be completed individually and Assessment 2 will be completed in pairs. This collaboration will be important in helping you develop, consolidate and utilise essential twenty-first century skills and dispositions.
