Description

A supervised research thesis.

In this course you conduct independent research and write a dissertation under the guidance of a supervisor. The dissertation will present the results of a research investigation into an area relevant to organisational psychology. The topic of your dissertation is decided on in collaboration with your supervisor.

There will be a series of seminars throughout APSY660 that are designed to support your growth as a researcher and your transition post Master’s into the workforce.

Learning Outcomes

  • The objectives of the course are to:

  • Formulate research questions/hypotheses that add to the current body of knowledge
  • Design a study that will allow the research questions to be answered, or hypotheses to be tested
  • Conduct the appropriate analyses to answer research questions, or test hypotheses
  • Write a dissertation, including literature review, methods, results, discussion
  • Reflect on results, limitations, and strengths of research project
  • Outline implications of results for research and practitioners
  • Contribute to your peers in the APSY660 cohort and researchers and practitioners in the I-O Psychology community
