Launch your BA

ARTS100 is a short series of workshops offered to all students who are in the first year of their BA at UC. This course is designed to help you get a great start, to learn about what is different from study you have done before, and to support you in building excellent study skills.

ARTS100 is comprised of four 50-minute workshops.

In these sessions students will have:
• the opportunity to meet other students and lecturers (each workshop stream will have their own academic mentor who will be there to support you if need)
• an introduction to Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
• an introduction to academic skills, career planning and your degree, UC support services, and generally how to succeed as a student
• an introduction to spaces you can use on campus for study.

Workshops for ARTS100 start in the first week of term.

Prerequisites

Subject to approval of the Head of Department.
