This course develops an understanding of how to make sense of data, and to communicate this understanding to others. Students in this course will learn fundamental skills of data analysis. These skills will allow students to describe, summarise and interpret data sets, and make statistical inferences based on their understanding of patterns in their data. The course is built upon three key analytical processes of data analysis: descriptive analysis, diagnostic analysis and predictive analysis. Students will also learn about data collection, data privacy and data ethics. This course is available only to students enrolling in the UC Pre-Masters Programme.
