Description

Effective literacy instruction lays the foundation for children's long-term academic achievement and life outcomes. The Better Start Literacy Approach (BSLA) integrates evidence-based practices in phonics, phonological awareness, reading, writing, spelling, and oral language. This course equips specialist teachers with the knowledge, practical tools, and resources needed to deliver high-quality Tier 2 (targeted) and Tier 3 (tailored) literacy support within a Response to Teaching framework to accelerate the literacy learning of children with dyslexia, speech, language, and literacy learning needs. Upon completion, teachers will be prepared to implement BSLA Tier 2 and Tier 3 support with students with additional learning needs within their school settings.

Domestic fee $2,299.00
