Description

Reactivity and properties of important functional groups. Stereochemistry and conformational analysis, acidity and basicity, electrophilic and nucleophilic reactions involving unsaturated systems and aromatic compounds, free radical reactions, polymerisation.

Prerequisites

(1) CHEM111 or CHEM113 or CHEM121; and (2) CHEM112 or CHEM115; and (3) subject to approval of the Head of Department.
