This course aims to introduce students to the theory and practice of working with different types of groups in a helping context. Students will be given the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the areas of group process and group leadership.
Students will be able to(a) understand and apply the Solution-focused theoretical foundations of group work in a helping context(b) understand and apply principles of group leadership (c) understand and apply key concepts and issues of group processes and stages of group development(d) apply this learning in critical and reflective ways through class interaction and assignment preparation
