Professional Counselling Research Portfolio
This course is a cohort –based research programme. Students are expected to complete a 90 point practice-based research thesis within 12 months. Supervision will be provided by lecturers, clinical supervisors and class members during class meetings.
Students will be able to:Develop a research proposal that focuses on their solution-focused counselling practiceGain ethical clearance to conduct their researchProduce a research portfolio with a title, research question(s), a literature review, description of methodology and method of data collection, appropriate analysis, discussion, implications and conclusion.
1) COUN675 and one of EDEM693 or EDEM697 or EDEM698 or an approved Research Methods course. 2) Subject to approval of the Head of School
