Description

This class focuses on the development of creative intellectual properties for screenwriting and other media to produce deep, coherent and flexible story worlds that can generate successful narratives across platforms.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the role of the screenwriter in the era of convergence.
  • Investigate cross-platform writing techniques.
  • Learn to develop effective story worlds as intellectual properties (IPs).
  • Develop the written and visual support materials necessary to pitch a screen project.
  • Develop competencies in oral presentation and pitching.
