In this project course, students will develop a specialised animation pipeline output, with scaffolded support from an academic supervisor. Students will work on a comprehensive deep dive into specialised knowledge and skills in an area within animation pipelines. They will adapt existing practice and develop specialised techniques and knowledge from areas of either 2D animation, 3D animation, pre/post production or a related context. These students will learn skills for self-directed development and apply them to expand their knowledge in their chosen specialist area through development of a showpiece project that applies the knowledge they have acquired. Finally, the students will bring together all these aspects into a masterclass they present to their peers. At each stage of the process, students will be required to plan, discuss, critique, reflect, and iterate on their own work and the work of others.
