There are two formal assessment points over the duration of the course. Assignment 1 takes the form of a written essay that explains and evaluates Universal Design for Learning and its relevance to inclusive education. Assignment 2 is an evaluative report on an inclusive strategy or resource that supports the learning and well-being of pupils who may be considered ‘at-risk’ in the education system. There is an expectation of high levels of engagement with course materials and interaction with classmates via forums and/or oral contributions. Each formal assessment carries a small weighting relevant to this.
