Professional Studies is a core component of the BTchLn (Primary) and consists of a series of compulsory courses which are designed to assist students to identify and address professional needs in relation to learning outcomes.  This process establishes links between professional practice experiences, pedagogy and learning theory taught by the University of Canterbury College of Education, and these links are further supported by the knowledge and skills students gain in Curriculum Studies and other Professional Education courses.  EDPS151 is the introductory course in this series and it has a focus on observing and interacting effectively with primary school age children.
