This course examines the different components of fitness. It examines the human body's acute response and adaptation to exercise. Furthermore, it reviews the current methods of assessing these components.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:Describe and investigate the structure and function of the human energy systems.Analyse and assess the components of fitness...Investigate the acute response of the human body to a single bout of exercise.Investigate the physiological adaptations by the human body chronic exposure to exercise. Identify and analyse how the principles of training can be utilised to achieve short-term physiological goals.Discuss and explain the relationship between physical activity and health. Investigate and apply physical activity guidelines for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
