This course is an introduction to the basic sport psychology theory and techniques used for maximising performance and satisfaction in physical activity.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:Identify and discuss the role of the sport psychologist/mental skills trainerDemonstrate an understanding of theory behind psychological skills training. Demonstrate the selection and application of appropriate sport psychology techniques in the context of theoretical coaching situations.Recognise limitations in terms of the application of sports psychology techniques.
