This is a 100 level compulsory course which focuses on integrating and applying the theoretical knowledge of BTchLn courses in early childhood centres. The course provides students with opportunities to achieve all the year 1 competencies and professional qualities. The course is closely linked to Professional Studies 1. Associate teachers assist the College to assess students' developing competence as teachers.
Learning OutcomesBy the conclusion of the course, students will be able to:1 Demonstrate all the professional attributes at a satisfactory level or above. 2 Demonstrate achievement of year 1 competencies consistently at a satisfactory level or above.3 Evaluate own teaching practice using a reflective process.4 Identify goals and strategies for developing the competencies and professional attributes for EDTP263.
