Description

This is a 200 level compulsory course which focuses on integrating and applying the theoretical knowledge of BTchLn courses in early childhood centres. The course provides students with opportunities to achieve all the year 2 competencies and professional qualities. The course is closely linked to Professional Studies 2. Associate teachers assist the College to assess students' developing competence as a teacher.

Learning Outcomes

By the conclusion of this course students will be able to:

1 Demonstrate professional attributes at a satisfactory level or above.
2 Demonstrate achievement of Year 2 competencies consistently at a satisfactory level or above.
3 Demonstrate an understanding of a range of administration skills related to the management of centres.
4 Develop the ability to critically reflect on their teaching experience.
5 Identify goals and strategies for competencies and professional attributes for EDTP373.
