Engineers contribute to economic, environmental, and social outcomes through systems and anticipatory thinking, recognising diverse values, evidence-based strategies, and collaboration. This course develops these skills, emphasising interactions between human, cultural, environmental, economic, and technical systems. It covers sustainability tools and frameworks, addressing local, regional, and global challenges, while integrating indigenous perspectives into engineering activities including tikanga Maori.
