This studio-based course applies advanced knowledge of building information methods, holistic andinterdisciplinary building design processes and collaboration to the development of solutions toreal design challenges. The course covers integrated design frameworks, managing multidisciplinarydesign teams and using building information tools in collaborative design projects. Learning alsoincludes team design projects and training in digital tools.The course covers the following topics:• Site Analysis and Project Briefing.• Critical Design Thinking.• Integrated and Holistic Design.• Leadership of Multidisciplinary Design Teams.• Collaborative Design Processes.• Building information modelling (BIM).• Digital technology, modular construction and Innovation.• Presentation and Communication Skills
Developing technical solutions that integrate with the requirements of other buildingdesign disciplines.Utilising digital tools to communicate design issues and options with other designers andstakeholders, and to develop integrated design solutions.Implementing building information strategies and procedures for collaborative designprojects.Leading and managing collaborative design undertaken by multidisciplinary design teams.
