A student who successfully completes this course should be able to apply advanced knowledge of building design and research methods to integrated building design projects.

The course applies knowledge gained from research and other courses in the programme to a major design project that integrates multiple performance objectives into whole building design.
The course runs over a period of 15 weeks, with learning delivered through supervised project work. There are approximately 150 learning hours in total, comprising:Tutorials 12 hoursIndependent learning 140 hours (project work and reading)Tutorials, which may be attended face-to-face or by video link, are scheduled from 10am-noon on the following days:20 and 27 February; and 5, 12, 19 and 26 March.
