Research Essay

(COMPULSORY: All honours degrees must include ENGL480.)
ENGL480 provides an opportunity for B.A. (Honours) and first-year M.A. students to undertake an in-depth study of areas of special interest under the supervision of a staff member. Students who enrol in ENGL480 in the first semester should must have the essay completed by July 1. Those doing the essay in the second semester must complete it by November 1.

Students are accepted into ENGL442, ENGL480 or ENGL481 only when they have identified an appropriate topic and been assigned a supervisor. Students intending to take these course should their plans with the Honours Coordinator or another appropriate staff member as early as possible.
