This course provides the means for students to complete the work integrated requirements for the BEnvSci (Hons) degree programme. The requirements are completion of a health and safety quiz, an on-line module on professional practice, first aid competency, and one work report and self-review. These components are based on 400 hours of work experience related to Environmental Science. The goal of the course is to introduce students to Environmental Science in the workplace. At the end of the course students will have: - Completed basic first aid training. - Gained an understanding of the rights of employers and employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015). - Gained an understanding of professional practice - Gained 400 hours of work experience related to Environmental Science.
Subject to the approval of the Director of Environmental Science
This course is restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Environmental Science with Honours
Students must attend one activity from each section.

Course Requirements include:- 400 hours in environmental science work experience- At least 320 hours must be in a paid role.- Have a valid First Aid Certificate at the time work commences.- Complete the Health and Safety Quiz and Professional Practice modules before starting work.- Have a Work Integrated Learning Agreement in place before work commences.
