This course covers all aspects of professional practice, supporting students to build a solid portfolio ready to be presented professionally and clear pathways for moving forward in their illustration career. Topics covered in this course include career development and management, professional relationships, commissions, dissemination, portfolio development, budgeting, contracts, ethical considerations, legal and accounting practices. Students will look closely to their authorial identity, voice and expression, the establishing of their distinct visual vision and critical perspectives to visual discourse.
