The objectives of the course are to: Demonstrate understanding of financial planning concepts Complete personal financial statements Demonstrate understanding of compound interest from both an investor and creditor Demonstrate understanding of the benefits and costs of consumer credit Make a rent vs buy decision for housing Demonstrate understanding of the benefits and costs of various kinds of insurance Demonstrate an understanding of wealth building using simple investment opportunities Demonstrate the application of financial concepts to consumption/savings/investment plans to meet short-term, medium-term and long-range goals.
