The required textbook is Forestry in a Global Context (R. Sands), CABI publishers. Textbooks can be purchased from the University Bookshop and will be available on restricted (3 hour) loan from the Law Library. Additional copies of the textbook not available on the Library catalogue can also be obtained from the Law Library but students will not be able to take these out of the building. This is a block-taught course, lectures run from Monday 22 November to Friday 3 December inclusive (no lectures on the weekend). Teaching hours will be 9:00 - 10:50 am and 12:00 - 13:50 pm daily. There is a compulsory one-day field trip to the Peel Forest area with the date to be confirmed (likely to be Thursday 2 December). Transportation will be provided by the School. Students will need to bring a packed lunch, wet weather gear and wear good walking shoes. Assessment will be submitted in person during the course and via e-mail after lectures have finished.
