World forest resources. Patterns of world trade, shipping and policies of international trade. Roles of international institutions in free trade and economic integration. Trade, aid and economic development with special reference to forestry and forest industries.
This course will provide students with an understanding of modern marketing tools required today by the forest products sector to compete internationally, along with an appreciation of international trade flows for forest products.
Students will be able to:Demonstrate an understanding of international trade commodities and trade flows;Demonstrate an understanding of marketing principles related to forest products;Show the ability to develop future marketing strategies related to international trade of forest products.
Students must attend one activity from each section.
