Review of the role of engineering in forestry. Roading and forest layout. Systems descriptions, characteristics and design. Factors affecting productivity. Work science. Costing. Introduction to harvest planning and control.

Learning Outcomes

The course is designed to introduce forest engineering concepts and practices to the student to permit sound forest harvest planning and analysis.
