Description

Advanced German Language course aimed at developing language skills consistent with C1 of the European Framework of Reference for Language.

This course is aimed at students who have passed GRMN352 or have otherwise acquired comparable proficiency in German. The instruction is communicative, and the language of instruction is German.

The course places great emphasis on the application of what has been learned and is therefore divided into language instruction and language application (in the form of larger and smaller projects).

The course also prepares students for the Goethe C1 certificate, which can be taken directly at UC at the end of the semester. The Goethe certificate is a globally recognized language examination. The exam will take place in November; the exact date is to be confirmed.

Learning Outcomes

The goal of the course is fluent and grammatically correct German at CEFR level C1.
