This course provides students with a platform to effectively lead, manage, motivate and change Aotearoa | New Zealand health sector organisations and the people who work in them.
1. Critically evaluate leadership theories inclusive of indigenous values and the implications for health service organisations.2. Evaluate leadership styles for equitable and successful healthcare delivery.3. Critically analyse ethics, power, and politics in leadership behaviour as they relate to equity in health care.4. Apply the principles of effective communication and change management.5. Critically apply theories of individual motivation and behaviour in high-performing organisations.6. Critically apply evidence to inform strategic thinking.
