Challenges and institutional responses to global environmental problems, including global warming.
The course will be an introduction to the institutional and legal framework within which the global community is responding to environmental problems. It will include discussion of the international legal and political contexts within which the problems and policy responses are evolving, as well as the specific regulatory regimes for managing areas of concern.Particular attention will be paid to the evolving climate change regime as being characteristic of international environmental law challenges and approaches.
