Dissertations are to be of 15,000-20,000 (including footnotes) words in length.  Students are encouraged to consider their dissertation topic as early as possible, however it is acknowledged that some students may prefer to complete their course work before considering possible topics.  Discussion of possible topics should be, in the first instance, with one of the Directors of the ILAP programme.
