By the end of this course, which builds upon JAPA 142, students should be able to use basic grammar and read and write increasingly complex text. They will also have learned a total of 250 kanji and 1,500 words and phrases.
JAPA142 (Level 3 NCEA with 15 credits or above in Japanese) or equivalent. Direct entry without the prerequisite is through a placement test and approval of the Programme Director.
