Description

Advanced Research Skills

This is the preliminary Honours course that must be undertaken as a pre-requisite to entry to LAWS420 and LAWS430.  It is offered to entry Honours students and involves a series of skills seminars provided by academic and Library staff.  Topics covered include research methodology, advanced writing and study skills, and oral presentation skills.  The course is taught primarily in small groups, and includes self-directed learning.

The assessment may consist of a Final Research Proposal worth 100% of the course.  The assessment will be confirmed in the first week of lectures.
