Description

The calculus and linear algebra introduced in MATH 106 are extended to the level of MATH 105.

In MATH109 we extend the ideas you met in MATH108 to complete your level 100 study of core mathematics.

You will discover more about the underlying geometrical ideas in linear algebra, using it to find areas and volumes and to solve problems about lines and planes. The algebraic aspect of calculus will be complemented by problems dealing with applications, where you will need to understand what your answers mean in practical terms.

Prerequisites

MATH106 or MATH108. With the permission of Head of Department this prerequisite may be replaced by a high level of achievement in MATH101.
