Description

MATH198 is a course in calculus and linear algebra. This STAR course is designed for highly able secondary school students who have excelled in level 3 NCEA Mathematics (or equivalent) and wish to take level 100 mathematics while still at school.

Orientation session:
MATH198 officially starts the week beginning Monday 16th February but there is an orientation session the week before.


The in-person session will run 4:15-5:30pm Thursday 12th February (Rehua 005), and all students are expected to attend. Bring something to write on and with, and a laptop or tablet. A smartphone is not ideal as a replacement device.

20 credits of Mathematics at NCEA Level 3, including 2 Excellence grades from the Calculus externals.

Timetable Note
