MATH198 is a course in calculus and linear algebra. This STAR course is designed for highly able secondary school students who have excelled in level 3 NCEA Mathematics (or equivalent) and wish to take level 100 mathematics while still at school.
Orientation session:MATH198 officially starts the week beginning Monday 16th February but there is an orientation session the week before.The in-person session will run 4:15-5:30pm Thursday 12th February (Rehua 005), and all students are expected to attend. Bring something to write on and with, and a laptop or tablet. A smartphone is not ideal as a replacement device.Please RSVP for the orientation session using the form found further below under Course Links. Note: there will be catch-up zoom sessions on the 16th or 17th for students unable to attend on the 12th.

Students must attend one activity from each section.
Despite the timings shown above, the weekly lecture runs 4:15-5:30pm, followed by the tutorial from 5:30-6:30pm.
