Description

This course explores the framework for influencing and negotiation in international business and organisational development. The content incorporates business strategy, management psychology, legal, intellectual property, marketing, and supply chain perspectives. The course activities include seminars and discussions, accompanied by practical experience in preparing for, and participating in a range of face-to-face negotiations.

Learning Outcomes

1. Be able to plan business development and negotiation activities related to entering, and operating in, international markets.
2. Be able to identify opportunities, as well the major problems and macro challenges, involved in negotiating business development globally.
3. Have developed applied personal skills and knowledge related to influencing and negotiating a business development project.
4. Understand negotiation team dynamics including consultation, ethical and legal issues, adjusting to and integrating differences between nations.
5. Understand how to conduct online negotiations for international and inter-country situations.
6. Understand the implications of Anti-Trust Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and transnational negotiation compliance.
