This course examines how organisations manage risk and eSecurity associated with their information systems (IS). Topics include management, analysis and application of secure e-Business systems including design and application of IS security concepts, and preparation of risk assessment reports for management decision making.
The outcomes of the course are: 1. Have an understanding of the role and impact of IS risk and security management in modern firms. 2. Design and apply key security concepts, components, technologies and selection criteria associated with the use of IS in the modern firm. 3. Design and apply key information system security and data management concepts. 4. Apply the concepts of cyber threat intelligence to the analysis of organizational threats. 5. Discuss key issues associated with managing IS in the modern firm, including the security and ethical problems they pose.
