Description

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to be a successful team leader in both face-to-face and virtual settings.

Learning Outcomes

The overall objective of this course is to increase the effectiveness of participants as team leaders and members.  By the end of the course you will:

1. Have improved self-awareness of your behaviour in group settings;  
2. Have a conceptual understanding of the latest theory and research relating to team leadership and group dynamics, and be able to apply that understanding to a “live” work team;
3. Have learned and practised a wide range of practical team leadership skills such as managing conflict, decision-making, communication, facilitating meetings and goal setting.
