Special Topic (H)

Learning Outcomes

The overall objective of this course is to encourage participants to develop and practise their interpersonal and group skills. By the end of the course you will:
1. Have increased your awareness of the effects of your behaviour on others;
2. Have enhanced your communication skills;
3. Have learned how to give and receive feedback;
4. Have a clear understanding of group development and dynamics;
5. Have an awareness of diversity issues.

Prerequisites

Subject to approval of the Head of Department.

Timetable Note

This course will be taught as a week-long intensive laboratory during enrolment week. The course will run from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday 13 – Friday 17 February 2006.

Assessment

This course will be assessed on a Pass/Fail basis. To pass, students must attend the whole laboratory.
