This course provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills and personal attributes as community music facilitators through an internship with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra’s community engagement programme. Students will work alongside CSO musicians and staff and in partnership with other Christchurch organisations such as the Canterbrainers’ Choir, Braintree Wellness Centre, Champion Centre, and Southern Music Therapy, facilitating inclusive group music making for extra-musical goals which may include health and wellbeing or social justice.
