Description

Electrostatics, dielectrics, D.C. circuits, magnetic fields, induction, A.C. circuits, introductory quantum physics, conduction in solids, semiconductors, transistors, radioactivity, elementary particles.

Prerequisites

(1) PHYS113; or (2) 18 credits NCEA Level 3 Physics and 18 Credits NCEA Level 3 Mathematics with Calculus. These prerequisites may be replaced by other background as approved by the Head of Department.

PHYS115, PHYS116 (prior to 2006)
