Description

Go beyond traditional gaming and explore how digital experiences can be embedded in the physical world. This course explores the design, development, and impact of immersive location-based games and experiences that blend digital interaction with the physical world. Students will learn how to create engaging, site-specific experiences using augmented reality (AR) and mobile platforms. Through a combination of theory, prototyping, and evaluation, the course covers game design principles and methods, spatial storytelling, user experience, and ethical considerations in public space. By the end of the course, students will be able to design and deploy location-based experiences and have gained practical skills and critical insight into this field.
