Introduction to Social Work

Description

A course that introduces the history, and contemporary organisation, and functions of social services in Aotearoa New Zealand society. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of students' capacities to understand and critically analyse the impact of service delivery on Maori as tangata whenua and/or diverse populations.
