Description

This course explores practical applications of biomechanics to equip students to support athletes to enhance sporting performance and minimise injury occurrence. Students will gain an understanding of the use of analytical methods and tools to make quantitative measurements and apply the principles of biomechanics to measuring and supporting performance.

Prerequisites

SPCO204 or SPRT204, or
30 points at 100-level MATH or PHYS and approval from Programme Coordinator.

Assessment

Assessment Due Date Percentage  Description
Workshop Activities 20% You are required to complete the weekly workshop activity. Due weekly.
Mid-term test 22 Aug 2024 40% To be held on online covering material from weeks 1-6 (inclusive).
Biomechanical Movement Analysis 21 Oct 2024 40% You are required to undertake a biomechanical analysis to inform a report and presentation. Due week of 21 October
