Description

This course provides students with a comprehensive examination of the interaction between the body's energy systems and its response to training. Students learn to critically analyse current trends in nutritional support and training strategies. Students are required to assess, train and analyse the performance of a small group of athletes through the duration of the course.

Assessment Due Date Percentage  Description
Assignment 1: Ethics application 18 Mar 2016 30% Students follow the UC human ethics application process to prepare for their research projects. This assignment is due to be submitted by 4:30pm.
Assignment 2: Journal Article 20 May 2016 30% Following the successful completion of their mini-studies, students analyse and write up their findings into a short journal article. This assignment is due to be submitted by 4:30pm.
Final exam 40%
