Description

This course consolidates the links between theory and practice in the field of communication and swallowing disorders. Students will carry out clinical work with an increasing level of independence and develop advanced professional and clinical competency in client management and professional behaviour, as specified by the COMPASS®, with the requisite consideration of ethical practice and a variety of cultural contexts; including Maori and Pasifika. Students will integrate academic learning and clinical skills within reflective practice group discussions and assessment tasks.
