Description

A study of the design and analysis of algorithms, and applications of algorithms.

Students will learn how to design efficient algorithms and data structures in this course.

Major topics include basic analytical methods; sorting and searching; basic graph algorithms; applications of algorithms.

Prerequisites

(1) COSC121 or COSC123; (2) COSC122; (3) 18 points from Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering Mathematics. MATH101 is not acceptable. MATH115/STAT131/STAT111/STAT112 are strongly recommended.
