Description

This course aims to provide the context in which students can demonstrate their counselling practice at a professional level.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate competency with the solution focused model of counselling
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of, and competency with reflexive and ethical practices in counselling
  • Accumulate 400 hours of approved counselling experience

Prerequisites

1) Subject to approval of the Head of School of Health Sciences. 2) COUN675: Professional Counselling Practice I; and COUN678 or HLTH482; and COUN679 or HLTH483; and EDEM664 or CFPY604 or EDUC461 or HLTH481.
