This class is made up of two one-hour lectures and a two-hour writing workshop, focused on constructing and composing long form, 90 to 100-page, screenplays. In most cases students will work with the treatment they wrote in DISC222, further developing their characters, learning how to construct individual scenes, and writing dialogue. Students will break into groups to help support and critique each other’s work. They will also have the chance to workshop a scene with actors. We will specifically focus on the First Act, which will include 20 to 30 pages, formatted to industry standards.
