Exploration of a variety of filmmaking practices with an emphasis on creative approaches. Students will learn to extend their knowledge, and skill sets with a deeper understanding of aesthetics. An emphasis will also be placed on ethical and community-based filmmaking. Compulsory attendance required for all classes.
Display advanced proficiency in using the tools of film production, primarily lights, camera, lens and microphones, and apply them in assignments.Show confidence in a variety of roles and responsibilities within the film crew (DOP, camera operator, focus puller, grip, gaffer, sound designer and recordist, boom operator, clapper).Offer constructive feedback to other projects and exercises in development.Engage with feedback, reflecting on how it can be used in the adaptation process
